The parable of the Samaritan was presented by Christ Jesus, whose work was so profound that it became a milestone in history against which the centuries would be measured. Today, the injured man, the man which the parable describes, is the whole of humanity. Your very own livelihood hangs in the balance, depending on the outcome of the choices we make, but also depending on the outcome of a great effort by many pioneering people. In some distant parts of the world countless families have already lost much of their livelihood, if not all of it, as the world-financial system has begun its long predicted global systemic disintegration. This is is the
effect of the choice some people have made for them. Indonesia for example, as
the effect of the so-called Asian monetary crisis in 1998, had lost all the economic gains its
people had struggled to create over many decades, and this as the result of an
intentional speculative attack on its currency and economy. Within a few weeks all of
it was gone. Nor is Malaysia alone in this situation. It is joined by
Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines and others, including Japan,
Russia, and Brazil. Their stock markets had been collapsed, including their
national currencies, in most cases by half their value.
