Gambling with Public Opinion

It is possible, even likely, for society as whole to be incorrect in its assumptions, because of the increasing uniformity in society's thinking. Indeed, this uniformity has been artificially created for this very purpose. Creating a strong uniformity in opinion sets the stage for 'managed responses' or political control. This is highly desirable when the aim of the game is to steal from society.

The managed uniformity in public thinking is not difficult to achieve. Just look at how it is done in practice. Most people are influenced by the same movies, the same news media, the same manufactured ideals, the same political ideology with a few cosmetic variations build in, and the same type of education, which isn't education at all anymore, in terms of exploring reality. The uniform conditioning of society manifests itself in a kind if uniformity in thinking that actually puts people at ease. They think the way everyone else thinks, they way everyone else is supposed to think, to the point that the resulting opinions are termed politically correct. In other words, public opinion is not based on truth, but is a politically generated phenomenon.

The reason why this game works so well, as it has for many centuries, can be traced to a cultivated apathy in society that makes is unlikely for an individual to resist being drawn into this game that is conducted by the most highly skilled experts. Who is aware, today, of the tightly controlled and coordinated media apparatus that generates the public's opinions and then validates those opinions as correct? The exceptions to the rule are found in cosmetic variances that pertain to inconsequential matters.

Take education, for instance. Education in our so-called "information age" has become a system for telling people what is real, rather than of guiding the mind into the limitless world of independent thinking based on learning the process of making discoveries, of exploring fundamental principles, of generating advanced validatable assumptions based on discovered and understood principles. In this limitless world lies humanity's unique quality and strength, which potential should be developed, not smothered. Education should lay the platform for creativity, for generating new ideas, advanced understanding, new forms of beauty based on validated principles. Education should be a tool for advancing civilization rather than creating an information based conformity in approved thinking. In today's information centered form of so-called education, people are spoon-fed prepackaged perceptions of reality, most of which have nothing to do with reality at all and are frequently centered on political demands that are actually contrary to their most vital interests. Thus, education has become a tool for mind control, with the usual amount of cosmetic variances built in.
