Gambling with Public Opinion

Most people believe public opinion to reflect reality to some degree. After all, it should be logically impossible for everybody to be wrong. This perception, unfortunately is a factor that has been sadly abused, because the underlying assumption is false.

It is a fact of history that Germany's fascist dictator, Adolf Hitler, who devastated Europe and terrorized the world, came into power by means of the democratic process with the support of public opinion. In the democratic world, the political gambling with public opinion is seldom a process of responding to public desires as would be the ideal of democracy, but regresses into a game of shaping or creating public opinion for the desired outcome.

Under these conditions, which have become the norm in our modern world, public opinion does not reflect fundamental principles of truth, but reflects an array of 'politically correct' illusions based on lies.
